Designing and improving user experiences is the way I contribute to the world.

I am a UX designer currently at Google in San Francisco, CA. I grew up in Atlanta then relocated to the Bay Area in 2018. I have an Industrial Design degree from Georgia Tech. I am passionate about design in all its aspects, in love with the process, and an avid believer in thorough thinking through collaboration, research, and testing. Design is credible and repeatable. It's about human nature and our need to improve and adapt to live meaningful lives. It’s measured value comes from the delight of the users we design for, and that's what drives me. My design approach is persistent and goal-driven. Empathy and affinity are my tools of choice to create beautiful, viable, and meaningful solutions.

My education wasn’t limited to the ID studio at GT. I participated in the Atlanta IDSA, IxDA, and PDMA. Among the many roles I took on as a student, I was a researcher for the Design and Intelligence Lab at GVU integrating biomimicry into design. I had the wonderful opportunity to intern for Kimberly-Clark for three different terms as a designer and product developer. I spent my third term in the mighty north, Neenah, WI, working on the Cottonelle consumer brand on several design product development projects. After KC, I designed for a small Atlanta creative agency in Atlanta called Alfenn.

I have other interests when I'm not busy pushing pixels or analyzing how I could improve one of my daily products. I love coffee ice cream, biology, cycling classes, typography, analyzing thinky movies, learning about health and fitness, and obsessing over clean eating where I try to find ways to include almond milk, coconut oil, chia, and flax seeds into everything. I drool over gorgeous motion design, title design, fictional UI, and art direction and secretly wish one day I can be in the ranks of Ash Thorp and Joseph Chan. If you've made it this far into my lengthy about me, note that I also enjoy writing from time to time. I once took a philosophy class I didn't need just so I could write a paper.

I am open to speaking opportunities.

I got the opportunity to speak at the 2017 IDSA International Conference as a Rapid Fire speaker. I talk about the relationship between Industrial Design and User Experience design and how they're really part of the same story. Check out my talk below. Please don't hesitate to contact me for speaking opportunities.
